It is lovely, in a dramatic sort of a way, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: I'd rather be in the rain there than a lot of other places I can think of Ray. smile

Do you know why it is called Buttermere, Frank? Fine picture, too
Frank L Croston.: I believe it comes from the old English 'The lake by the dairy pastures' or the place to make butter. smile
Cracking picture Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much Bill.

This is a pleasing and dramatic photograph Frank. The framing makes it feel almost circular.
Frank L Croston.: I'm glad you like it Andrew, thanks.

nice and moody
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Paul.
That rain actually gives it a great atmosphere. You remark yesterday that they have fenced the area where I think this was taken off is sad, is there any particular reason why.
Frank L Croston.: The area I referred to Brian is the far end of the lake as seen in this pic', where the trees that everyone photographs are, I can only think its because they graze animals there. Thanks.
i love how you framed this one Frank....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Pleased you like it Peter, thanks.
nicely framed, Frank. this place grows on you.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Ayush, its one place I miss for sure. We try and visit every time we are in the U.K.

Frank L Croston.: Thank you Graeme, thats much appreciated.
