A very striking image. A non-willing participant by the look of it.
Frank L Croston.: I think most of them are Alan.
This is a hard image to look at Frank but is horribly true

Very poignant Frank.
Frank L Croston.: A strong statement Andrew.
It is a sad thought that this is based on events taking place in parts of our world at this moment, whatever has happened to the innocence of childhood in some places.
Frank L Croston.: We are ( in most cases ) sheltered from this kind of thing Brian.
It bothers me to see that depiction.
Frank L Croston.: Sorry if it does Mary, its a strong statement.

... and he is about to get shot for his troubles. A very strong message and good art work.

Sometimes, I wonder about our modern take of children. Like, when is a child a child. Why are they supposed to be less able to think rational. That must be one of the reasons for all the age restrictions. Over the ages; children were soldiers, landowners, kings/queens - and they were held responsible for what they did. Sometimes security forces have to deal with children that was sent to the fore, by their elders, with the idea that if those forces harm one of them - we can have more propaganda. (Probably how the chappie in your pic, got into this position). A "child" who can hold a gun, can kill with it.

In short, I believe we don't have a lot to be proud of in modern society.
Frank L Croston.: I can see your point Louis.
this is a sad sculpture Frank... your framing that shows the shadows on the wall are great....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Indeed it is ,Peter. Thank you.
