Worth dragging your camera up LL for this fine shot, Frank.

The foreground greens look a bit muted...did you do something to them, or are they like that?
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ray, I think its pretty much how they were.
It was quite a view, Frank! I love how you have caught the sun streaking across, and the little tiny car - just for scale!
Frank L Croston.: Yes it was a grand view from where we were, love, got lucky with the sun and the car...smile

Some hard walking there, Frank
Frank L Croston.: Oh yes, Elisabeth, we were just doing the easy stuff...smile
What a beautiful view with these layers!
Frank L Croston.: Isn't it just, Richard.

The word that springs to mind is grandeur Frank
Frank L Croston.: That would cover it, Chris.
Brilliant walking terrain to keep the old legs going Frnk, oh and also to turn over an ankle.
Frank L Croston.: Right on both counts, Andrew, you just have to take care, I've been lucky so far.
I like your choice to keep the fence in the foreground. Very nice lines with the fences and road.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Mary.
that is some impressive landscape, Frank. nice shot and well exposed.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ayush, we kept getting patches of light moving across the view, you just had to be patient.
Magnificent Frank, wonderful scenery, I haven't walked them but recall seeing them during my school trip back in 1960.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Brian. I doubt if they have changed...smile
Superb!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much, Roland.

I missed the car at first. What a glorious view though; they never fail to impress.
Frank L Croston.: They never do, you are right, Alan. Thanks.
The Pikes are demanding close inspection, a really nice scene Frank
Frank L Croston.: Your wish is my command, Martin.http://blueskys.shutterchance.com/image/2013/09/10/langdale-pikes/
Glad you like it, thanks.

Chris is right - a grand view - and the mountains look like the alpine ones, although they are not so high.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Philine, well the mountains in the Lakes are more about quality than quantity...smile
Yet another fine shot Frank. Please post a dud and make me feel better grin
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Bill, stop it....
