This would be great without the birds, but they add that certain something to make it superb, Frank

I reckon those birds could be Turnstones.

Blue and yellow always a winner as they are colours that compliment each other
Frank L Croston.: Or Plovers,or Sanderlings,it was too dark to tell,Richard,Thanks.

A real beauty of a shot, Frank. Golds and indigo and golds and purples are the best combinations.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks,Mary.yes, as my wardrobe will testify...Just joking. smile
I've just sent some images off to an exhibition, I wish this fantastic image was mine and one of them, a surefire one to be selected.
Frank L Croston.: Ah, you flatter me,Mr Walbey, but I can take it. smile Thanks, I hope yours do ok,I'm sure they will.

I love the silhouettes of the birds on the beach. Talk about golden sands. Very nice, too. Now if I may be every so slightly picky, there is just a very slight curve to the horizon. Not like you at all smile
Frank L Croston.: I had to sneak up on the birds, they obliged by staying for a couple of shots,be as picky as you like, Alan, you are right,I think this lens at its long end does have a slight bow to it,I hadn't seen it on this one,but I have on others, glad you like the rest of it though. smile

Sandpipers at the gates of dawn? smile
