that must have been quite an experience, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Believe it or not Ayush I climbed that the week before, by mistake ! I had come up the bottom path in thick fog and rain and turned right instead of left ! You would think hard to do, I know different smile At least I got this shot a week later because of my mistake.
Goodness! That's some thick fog!
Frank L Croston.: It was thicker and lower the week before ! smile
Brouillard ou nuage ?
Frank L Croston.: Low cloud Martine, too low. smile

Very dramatic. Is this anywhere near its peak Frank?
Frank L Croston.: That it is Chris, I would say he's about 2/3rds of the way up.
That would be a tough but very dramatic walk, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: The previous week when I did just what this guy was doing it was miserable, certainly a dramatic place though Ginnie.

I recall my one climb up Great Gable, especially Windy Gap and then the scramble fp=down to Sty Head. I would not do such a climb in clouds, though. Happy days!
Frank L Croston.: I'll tell you about a descent I made off there next time we meet ( its bound to happen one day ! ) Happy days indeed !
Toujours aussi impressionnant !
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Claudine.

My last climb on Gable, many years ago, was in good sunshine
Frank L Croston.: I've done it three times, never had good weather, except for once, always enjoyed it
A climb not for the faint hearted or the ill equipped
Frank L Croston.: Certainly not Bill.

Blueskys are a bit grey in this picture smile

That is quite a hillside, with all the shale (or whatever) - fortunately there are some walk ways.
Frank L Croston.: Just a bit Louis, its a steep climb alright.
At least the one time I went to the top there it was a lovely day, I would think it is a bit dangerous to go up in the fog.
Frank L Croston.: Three times, and I've never had a lovely day ! smile
Lots of weather to meet way up high. Like the diagonals here.
Frank L Croston.: when you get that far up its hard to stop. Thanks Care.
good image Frank... it seems that the train is very close to the top of the hill....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Peter, its well on its way smile
Makes a great picture Frank! smile
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Martin, I was pleased to get it as the guy climbing was exactly where I was the week before, except the clouds were lower for me and it was windy and raining...I often wonder why I did this....smile
