A fine image that shows forests can deal with Fire...even without rakes.
Frank L Croston.: Its a normal thing Ray, as you say.
a somewhat melancholic image, Frank. but i imagine it will look much better in a few months time?
Frank L Croston.: It is sad to see just afterwards, Ayush, but things soon recover.
and by melancholic, i did not aim that at your shot, but it was my own take on it.
Frank L Croston.: No problem Ayush, you can say what you want about my pic's smile I knew just what you meant, but I thank you for clarifying your comment.
So lovely to see... Very pretty image, Frank! I understand Ayush's comment...
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Elizabeth. Yes, I understood it also.
Heureusement que les arbres repoussent.
Frank L Croston.: Yes they do Martine, its a part of the natural way.

Nice rendition of Circle of life. Wonder how this would look in b/w?
Frank L Croston.: A natural event Bonnie. I wanted to keep the colour in the bottom of the shot so didn't try it. I'll take another look.

New life is stringing up, I'm pleased to see. Was this part fo a controlled burn or a wildfire?
Frank L Croston.: I think this was a wildfire Alan, close to the North rim of the Grand Canyon. Probably caused by lightning. We had a spectacular thunderstorm here last night.
Part of the cycle. There has been quite a bit on the news about the loss of carbon from the degeneration of soil. Apparently this and deforestation are as big, if not bigger problem than fossil fuels
Frank L Croston.: We are doomed Bill....

It is amazing how nature bounces back.
Frank L Croston.: Suffering at the moment though thanks to us Andrew.
The response to fire!
Frank L Croston.: Its a natural event Tom...
Nature overcomes all in the end.
Frank L Croston.: Hopefully, but we aren't helping Brian.

It looks rather bleak, but hopefully new growth will soon appear.
Frank L Croston.: Its surprising how quickly it does Anne.
That's nice to see. It does regenerate quickly.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Mary, it certainly does.
