Heading home from the Vermillion cliffs on highway 89 and not looking forward to what we were driving into, 50 miles to go to and we were heading into the worst snowstorm since I came here...Scary stuff

Full of interesting and alean stuff, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Ray.
Great shot, Frank! I'm glad you drove up the mountain and through town - it was very scary - but you did a wonderful job of keeping us safe!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Elizabeth, it was a bit nerve wracking for sure.
J'aime la neige mais il n'y en a jamais chez moi.
Frank L Croston.: You could have some of ours, Martine, we have it to spare at the moment. smile
I'm so glad you had even presence of mind to take his foreboding image, Frank, and that you came through it safe-n-sound.
Frank L Croston.: Could have been my epitaph Ginnie! smile Thanks, we made it home, slowly, but safely.

They expect a lot of snow if these trucks are already around, Frank. I know what you mean with "scary". I am glad you survived. Great shot with the truck.
I have winter-tires from October until the end of March, not only for the unexpected snow but also the down-pour with rain.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Astrid, you are very wise, we just had new tyres fitted. The other night we had a freeze at rush hour, cars all over the place, mostly people with front wheel drive only.

I have been in a snow storm, just once in my life. Because the wind was not blowing very hard (hard enough to bring the snow in, at almost horizontal), I was more delighted than scared.
Frank L Croston.: I know what you mean Louis, but the novelty has worn off for me now....smile

How horrible. I remember being on the M4 in a blizzard - you couldn't see othee cars, and you didn't dare pull off on to the hard shoulder
Frank L Croston.: It can be very unpleasant Elisabeth.
It is not a pleasant experience!
Frank L Croston.: Indeed its not Bill.

Yes I can imagine that this is REAL snow Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Oh it was, Andrew, the road gradually disappearing....
I couldn't imagine facing this situation with 5 miles to go let alone 50.
Frank L Croston.: It was a trifle daunting Brian.
I am sure like us on the eastern seaboard, Elizabeth knows how to drive on snow and ice. Ha just read that you drove. Very good. Driving in a snowstorm is not fun at all.
Frank L Croston.: Elizabeth doesn't like driving on ice or in snow since her accident so I drive, as you say no fun, Mary.
