photoblog image The wall.

The wall.

In the time since I took this, a few years ago, it seems to have taken on a new significance, I dont know the name of the artist, but maybe he had a crystal ball....I think the painting has gone now, but not the problem...

C'est joliment fait.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Martine.
Yes - I see what you mean. It's a nice mural, and a nice photo though.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Elizabeth.
Wow! Effective!
Frank L Croston.: Extremely so, Ray.
Oh, WOW, Frank. Totally appropriate for today's world, especially America. (sigh)
Frank L Croston.: Thats why, when I came across it whilst looking for something else, I thought it was so relevant to todays climate Ginnie.

They're not all there and seem worried. A great image Frank
Frank L Croston.: As today they need to be, Chris, unfortunately. Thank you.

This is remarkably clever, using just an outline to give substance to the rest of the clothes
Frank L Croston.: It certainly works well, Elisabeth, I don't know if it was intentional, or unfinished.
Tu as bien fait de l'immortaliser ..joli travail !
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Claudine, most street art disappears eventually, its a shame about some, not others, this is in the first category.

Crikey! That's very artistic. I expect the wall has gone, too!
Frank L Croston.: I liked it Alan. Well the wall is the edge of a car park which is still in operation, as for the painting I'm not sure.

This is so well done and what a great artist. Wonderful picture too, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Simple and powerful I thought, Astrid. Thank you.
Have you shown this before Frank because it looks familiar?

If it has gone it is a shame because it is very fine
Frank L Croston.: Yes I have Bill, a few years ago now. Next time I pass there I'll look for it, but I seem to recall thinking it had gone the last time I was around there.

I like this mural very much Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Its in the 'less is more' category Andrew. I don't know if it was unfinished or intentional.
Its certainly pertinent to todays climate.

The faces seem very realistic - wonder if the artist painted specific women. Anyhow, they are ghosting through the US? landscape.
Frank L Croston.: This was in the U.K. Louis, in the place I lived 'til last year.
Very unusual wall art, the wall certainly does need a make-over.
Frank L Croston.: I don't know if it was left unfinished, or if this was the intention, Brian. The wall is the edge of a car park, the remains of a demolished building.
Yes, very significant in today's political climate, Frank. Do you remember where this wall was located?
Frank L Croston.: Oh yes I do Beverley, it was in Blackpool U.K. Where I used to live, they had a street art festival every year, its stopped now, this was in one of them.
beautiful paintings Frank... it is sad too see how badly thing have changed to the Muslims of the world....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: It is indeed, Peter, radicalism is bad whoever....
i think it is a very well done piece and you have a nice reproduction of it, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: It certainly comes in the category of 'less is more' Ayush. Thank you.
