I like the well positioned red car Frank, the touch of a master..
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Chris, don't know about that, just got lucky with the car.
A fine shot. Is that thing made from slate?
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Bill. It is, made at the Honister slate mine just across the road.

On guard is a suggestion as this almost looks like a human figure.
Frank L Croston.: Its a fine piece of work Andrew, made of slate.

I remember you standing next to the guard in Elizabeth's picture. It is a beautiful valley.
Frank L Croston.: Yes I was, Louis. It is a spectacular valley,I remember the first time I visited it I was awestruck.
Great shot of Honister Pass, Maureen didn't fancy driving on that narrow road so we had to turn round and make our way back through Seatoller to our apartment. I walked the length of the pass back in 1960 whilst on a school trip, no doubt you have done it many times.
Frank L Croston.: Its a great drive, a shame you didn't make it Brian, but I can understand Maureen's nervousness (I've done it in a three ton truck, that was fun! smile )I've never walked the pass itself, but most of the surrounding fells .
What a great marker! Very cool POV.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much Mary.

I love the sun patches on the hills. What a grandious view on the valley. I wish I had seen this part of the Lake District, too.
Frank L Croston.: This part of the Lakes is not the easiest to get to, Philine. Which makes it all the better to me.I hope you see it one day.
