photoblog image Rain storm

Rain storm

Over the North rim of the Grand Canyon, with an oxbow of the Colorado river in the foreground, in a few thousand years that will be an island. Probably by then though there will be no river, it will be covered in the remains of uranium mines with cable cars flying above it as they show tourists how the Grand Canyon was ruined by their ancestors...

A wonderful moment, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: It was wonderful to see, Ray, thanks.
This is so beautiful! I love how you can see the rain pouring from the cloud so clearly!

I'm so glad I won't be around to see the results of what this idiot administration is doing...
Frank L Croston.: Well I'm sure I won't, but you may well do love.

I take your point Frank. Let's hope they don't succeed in ruining it all..
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Chris, isn't it unbelievable ( actually thinking about it, probably not...)
I am glad that you can still enjoy it without cable cars, Frank. Love the rain in the far end.
Frank L Croston.: We can at the moment, but need to be vigilant, Astrid. Thank you.

the mood in this image somewhat goes well with your message, Frank.
the song "suicide" by Motorhead comes to my mind.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Ayush, I don't know the song, though I know of Motorhead,it sounds appropriate.

The canyon sides seem to have a green sheen on it - another sign of rain season. Another great canyon picture.

PS - I like your take on the future and now I wonder what transport will look like, if we haven't blown the old planet up "sky high" by then.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Louis, oh we will ( well probably not me...) be floating around on hover boards, but weren't we supposed to be doing that now? I'm sure it was mentioned in the sixties.
The rain is welcome, Im sure, as well as beautiful.
Frank L Croston.: Its always welcome in Arizona. I still have to come to terms with that...smile
Excellent picture, you caught the storm very well. I fear greatly for what the world will be like in a few generations time, it isn't that good at themoment IMHO.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Brian. I quite agree, the future looks sad.
Yup, that's certainly a storm!
Frank L Croston.: No argument Tom...smile
isn't it great to be able to pick up rain falling in the distance...

Frank L Croston.: It is Peter, many thanks.
