Thank you... a sweet memory from my past.
Frank L Croston.: Pleased to be of service Andy. smile
The tender is almost as long as the loco itself.
Frank L Croston.: It is, it looks like its a tanker for something, maybe water, maybe oil, Brian.
nicely framed Frank... i grew up next to a railroad yard... i loved the sound of the steam locomotives...petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Peter,I love those sounds too.
It’s a grand machine Frank and you have captured it really well.
Frank L Croston.: I'll show whats in front of the loco sometime, thank you Andrew.
Oil fired?
Frank L Croston.: I don't know Bill, but possibly going off the tanker tender.
A great old name!
Frank L Croston.: Well, Tom, I presume its because its a self contained snow plough, accommodation car and caboose. I'll post some pics of it soon.

I can just imagine the snow that had to be cleared each winter. Googleing, I found this which shows the snowplough - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_Train_Rolling_Stock#/media/File:SNOW_TRAIN_ROLLING_STOCK,_LARAMIE,ALBANY_COUNTY.jpg
Frank L Croston.: Oh the snowplough was on the front of the loco, Alan, along with a bunkhouse and caboose behind it. I'll post some pics of it. Thanks for the link.
