photoblog image Steel Eagle...

Steel Eagle...

Artwork made from old car bodywork pieces,( mostly bumpers ) seen in Crested Butte Colorado. Quite remarkable, and reminiscent of the decorative Eagles on the Chrysler building in New York.

Very good idea to also capture the reflections in the Eagle...fascinating !
Frank L Croston.: Well the reflections are from the street surrounding it, Bonnie, I took the surroundings out as it was a bit distracting , thanks.
You photographed this so well, Frank! Hard to get it all in the frame...
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Elizabeth, It wasn't easy, thats why I separated it from its surroundings.
Très original et bien fait.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much Martine.

Frank L Croston.: Aren't they just, there were numerous works like this around the town, I'll show another one tomorrow.

The reflections of the surround scene makes this for me.
Frank L Croston.: I liked that they appeared like that, this was on the main street.
That looks really impressive Frank.
Frank L Croston.: It was Bill, I should have put the original with it to show its size. Another one tomorrow.

I like the reflections in the front Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Me too, Andrew, it was on the main street.
Looks like it's alive Frank.
Frank L Croston.: It was great Michael, quite large. Another piece by I presume the same artist tomorrow.
That is very inventive on the part of the artist.
Frank L Croston.: Wait 'til you see the one tomorrow, Brian.
Clever stuff!
Frank L Croston.: Indeed Tom.
