photoblog image The curtain falls....

The curtain falls....

Can you paint me back home in Wyoming Riding free 'neath the big sky above Free as the wind on the prairie Out in the hills that I love I long to get back to Wyoming And I've hoped all these years that I can Please paint me back home on your canvas Paint me back in Wyoming again

awesomely ominous
Frank L Croston.: Great description, thanks Rob.
My dad often used the word "lowering" in his speech, Frank...a word I seldom hear. But THIS is exactly that. He'd be pleased.
Frank L Croston.: I know what he meant, this was a lowering curtain of cloud.

Are you sure you didn't paint this, Frank! By the way, do you paint?
Frank L Croston.: I wish I had...No, afraid not Elisabeth, not since school, when I was quite good, though I say it myself...smile

Love it. especially the undulating hills in the distance. The lack of people appeals, too.

It is almost impossible to become claustrophobic in this kind of land...
I love it when I can see the rain fall like this, Frank. Love the grey tones of the hill/mountains.
Frank L Croston.: Indeed Astrid, thank you.

Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much Andy, it really was.
You've really captured some atmosphere in this shot, no doubt it was a quick retrun to the car before this lot hit.

Excellent atmosphere in this landscape. The far-off hills stirring up a wistful feeling.

Darkening skies...
