Brilliant!

I don't recall ever seeing an Avocet.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Ray. I've seen at least three...
I have never even heard of an avocet. Lovely birds.
Frank L Croston.: Now you have, Larry, and Graeme is showing some too.
So, we're all getting our education, I see, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: You won't learn much from me, Ginnie. smile
Lovely photo, Frank! They are really pretty, aren't they!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Elizabeth. They are very elegant.

Now I know the name of this bird, Frank. We have some far relatives walking around in Hollandshire. Do you know that the Royal Society for the protection of birds uses the Avocet as logo? (I looked into the world wide webhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Society_for_the_Protection_of_Birds )
Beautiful picture.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Astrid. I didn't know that, 'til now smile
Ces avocettes sont très élégantes avec leurs longues pattes et leur bec recourbé.
Frank L Croston.: They are a most elegant bird, Martine.

Just look at those specialist bills, designed for sifting lovely delicious water snails out of their habitat
Frank L Croston.: Built for the job, Chris.
Alright, then, 2 sets of avocets!
Frank L Croston.: We should communicate better, Graeme.
Magnifique ces oiseaux très élégants !
Bonne journée
Frank L Croston.: That they are, Claudine, you too, thanks.
Beautifully arranged Frank
Frank L Croston.: It took some doing, Bill, thanks.

They have long thin legs Frank, they could be models.
Frank L Croston.: Are you allowed to say that in todays political climate, Andrew? smile

Avocets inspire me to press the shutter button. So, I have a number of pictures, featuring avocet. They look good in flight - sort of a balanced unit with that upward curved beak.
Frank L Croston.: They are very attractive birds, Louis.
Fine looking birds aren't they, I have only ever seen one at a large reservoir not far away from us.
Frank L Croston.: We saw these at Martin mere wetlands reserve, amongst many other birds
Impossible to photograph in my part, too bad. Nice shot.
Frank L Croston.: That is a shame, Thank you, Claudio.

They are dressed for the ballet.
Frank L Croston.: Very elegant birds, Mary.
