The tree looks brittle and fragile, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: You could have probably just snapped branches of, Ray, I've only seen this once before, and that was up a mountain. smile
I really like your technique, Frank...
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Larry. This was an amazing thing to come across.

Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Elizabeth, I liked your version too.

this is absolutely beautiful !

the one little spot of grass not covered with snow is such a fine element
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Sherri. It was amazing that the tree protected that one spot. I would not have liked to have been in this storm. Here is another version of it.http://blueskys.shutterchance.com/image/2016/01/04/highway-380/
Another whopper of a shot, Frank. I could see a nice grouping of all your trees!

Are they huddled sheep in the background, Frank? Your tree is suffering

Great picture of an amazing natural event. The grass showing to the right of the tree makes it look like selective colouring.

Oh fabulous! Some of the "ice sculptures" can so beautiful.

1've got around 5cm of snow in my garden; almost unheard of. Complete chaos of course; even a favourite coffee shop closed just as I got there yesterday.

Brrr, just like here then, but not an ice storm.
Pretty but so terrible in the amount of damage they can cause. You did a fine job with this presentation.

What an amazing shot! I like the touch of gold among the silver!
Frank L Croston.: It was amazing to come across this, Bonnie, thank you.
great shot with the accent of the color
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Alan. The sheltered grass accentuated the ice.
