The reason why...

...you dont want to be caught in a slot canyon in a flash flood. Above Elizabeth's head is debris from past floods. This is Buckskin gulch, part of possibly the longest slot canyon in the world, approx' 15miles long.

You really wouldn't stand a chance Frank! A scary thought..
Frank L Croston.: You are right, Chris, and its not just the water, its the debris that is pushed in front of the flood,I've seen evidence of it in places.

A magical place Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Wonderful places,Andrew.
Even roads in regular deserty parts of Arizona has those run off things on the sides of roads. I can't even comprehend....
Frank L Croston.: You really need to be aware of the dangers, Mary, its still a wild place.
A flood throught here would flow at an unimaginable pace, one wouldn't stand a chance.
Frank L Croston.: People are killed in these places, Brian, you need to keep it in mind always.
You make your point well Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Bill, scary when you come across the evidence like this.
