A very good use for that blank wall...
Frank L Croston.: Yes it is, Ray.
The peeling adds meaning to the picture...
Frank L Croston.: It does sort of, Larry, I agree.
Oh very good, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Elizabeth.
Really amazing, Frank. I always wonder how they can get the scale right when they're so large!
Frank L Croston.: Good isn't it, the artists I have seen painting murals this large seem to work off a small picture they have drawn before, it must still take some skill though.

If ever a picture needed actual human beings..
Frank L Croston.: You are right, Chris, I had it without, didn't work!

Toothache, earache, or simply worried?
Frank L Croston.: More likely worried at the moment, Andrew...

She is a mother, with a child out in some American war, like the Gulf or some place. My guess.

Reality: JR x VHILS, produced Dona Benedita in LA, 2010. JR (French) collaborates with Portuguese artist VHILS in Los Angeles - mixing pasting and carving on a wall, representing a Brazilian woman from the Women Are Heroes project.

I think that the peeling is not part of their technique.
Frank L Croston.: Good research, Louis, thanks. I think you are right about the peeling. smile

This is good and I think this is a wonderful mural... This is a great piece of ART!!!
Frank L Croston.: Me too, I don't think street art gets the recognition it should. Thanks, Astrid.
