This is great...(and no I don't think this is the best of a bad job wink) This is the real deal fishing, I wonder if he caught something...
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Astrid, what I was meaning was that I made a mess of the original, ( Which for some reason I did a lot of that day) and so tried this to make something out of it. He caught one whilst we were watching, don't ask me what! I'm no fisherman.

You've had your box of paints out again, Frank
Frank L Croston.: I wish I could do this for real, Elisabeth, I might start one day.
I am amazed at the greenness of the river Frank.
Frank L Croston.: It is a lovely colour this part of the river, it narrows slightly and goes over some riffles, it moves quite fast.

Composition is spot on.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Mike.
This could be 'painted' here.
Frank L Croston.: One of the few times I've got it to work.

He found a good place to stand - rivers can be pushy, otherwise. Without a net he is not seriously planning on a catch smile
Frank L Croston.: It was a strong current, and cold.... He made one catch whilst we were watching.
Good shot to start off with and i like it even more with this treatment.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Brian, I'm glad you like it.

Lovely treatment, I wonder if he was as successful in his fishing as you have been with this image Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Anne, well he caught one at least that I saw, I was having an off day and kept messing shots up...:-(
Nicely done Frank
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Bill, patching up my mistakes....smile
Never my idea of a fun day out!
Frank L Croston.: Me either, Tom, but I enjoyed taking photos of it.
the painting is perfect Frank... and the sport is my favorite....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Peter, I've never done any fishing, but I can see its appeal, I enjoyed watching this guy.
i really like that green shade of the water, Frank. nice rendering.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much, Ayush.

He might not be catching fish, but his feet are getting a nice wash.
Frank L Croston.: So were we, Ray, nice on a warm day.

Wonder what he caught? Beautiful colors here.
Frank L Croston.: He said it was some kind of bottom feeder, don't know the name of it though, the river was a great colour that day, a week or so later they released a few thousand gallons from the Glen canyon dam into the river and I should imagine it was brown for a while after that.
