Très joli, il fait déjà  très froid chez toi.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Martine, cold indeed.

Oh NO! Is that this year?
Frank L Croston.: Oh yes! Taken yesterday morning, Bonnie, after 5 to 6 ins' of snow overnight. Our ten minute drive home took us forty minutes tonight due to the freezing conditions. Getting Elizabeth to work in the morning should be fun....

Yes just as well. Frosty as hell here too today but I am hoping to get out there..
Frank L Croston.: Indeed, Chris, I got out yesterday, and will do today, I was thinking about driving out to the canyon, but some of the roads are closed.

Does Elizabeth have far to drive to work? This must remind you of the North of England in a bad year, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: About 15mins normally, Elisabeth, well snow is snow, but most people seem better prepared here. It certainly helps having all wheel drive on your vehicle, those who don't suffer.
Oupss...cela donne froid
Frank L Croston.: It certainly was, Claudine!

Oh lucky you! I get excited if I get even just a sprinkle but you get proper snow. You don't want to be under these icicles if they should fall.
Frank L Croston.: Its great, Alan, so picturesque, I'm off out to take pic's soon.
Even the wood looks frozen Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Everything was, Andrew, it was very bad on the roads last night.

Whoa, chilly. Bright and sunny here with a high of 10 degrees forecast for Cornwall. Not missing Winter yet ;o)
Frank L Croston.: Very nice, we are back to bright sunshine, but still below freezing, it looks nice.
Funny that we got our first bit of winter the same day. My tire changeover appt is this morning, appt made over a month ago.
Frank L Croston.: Good timing, Mary, we don't change tyres, but we did switch on the all wheel drive, we got past a few stuck cars.

Oh my! Would be nice if we could just get into the 50's or even low 60's. We had one cool day a week or so ago that I thought was bringing fall weather, but it was just a tease.
Frank L Croston.: We seem to be into winter properly now, but we are heading south to Phoenix on Friday, that'll warm us up !
If I recall I don't think you've spent a whole winter in Flagstaff so you could be in for some surprises weather wise I suspect.
Frank L Croston.: Not a whole one, Brian, but I've been here in the snow before.

Very impressive!
Frank L Croston.: Its good for icicles here, strange lack of guttering.
A wise decision. So plenty of snow pics in the upcoming days?
Frank L Croston.: Indeed, could be, Bill.
it's nice to see that you got some precipitation Frank... even if it came in as snow... i love your shot of the icicles... the snow on the roof is melting fast and the 6 inches of show will be gone within a few days...

we get that much snow on a good day up here Frank... and the traffic still moves along... the people in Flagstaff aren't used to it so they cause all kinds of pileups...
i'm not making fun of you just sympathizing....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Its going already Peter, though I just got back from a drive over a pass in the peaks and there was plenty up there...The problem last night was icy roads, they got wet in the day then froze, if you didn't have the right kind of vehicle you were in trouble, and of course Flagstaff is quite hilly just to help. smile
Woo - chill! I guess Flagstaff is pretty high up.
Frank L Croston.: Chilly indeed, Tom, Flagstaff is at 7000ft, average snowfall is 108 ins' so we have another 102 ins' to go!
