He is proud of his hat, Frank
Frank L Croston.: It never moved, Elisabeth, I don't know how much he could see though!

I hope you already have a similar hat for when you take part in the roping. I like the atmosphere you've caught here with the dust in the air.
Frank L Croston.: I do have a hat, not as big as this though...There was lots of dust that day, good for photo's, but not the cameras!
This is a very fine hat indeed. Have you invested in one yet?
Frank L Croston.: It is, I don't need one as I have my Bowler hat with me...

Excellent - the hat, the dust, the motion
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Louis, much appreciated.
I wonder that that dip in the front doesn't interfere with vision Frank.
Frank L Croston.: I wondered that myself, Andrew....
Love the dusty atmosphere. Must be hard to keep a white hat white.
Frank L Croston.: It was good for photo's, if you saw the hats up close you would see they are work hats alright!
i like the atmosphere, Frank. that horse has a dominating head in this frame!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ayush, yes, I think it was the angle I took it at.
I really wish I'd taken this, what a great image. I guess the large hats are needed to keep the sun off their heads and the faces in shadow.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Brian, thats nice of you, the hats are really a necessity here, also, when in a roping contest it's considered etiquette to wear a hat of some kind, you rarely see someone without one...Unless its blown off!
a well broken in work hat Frank... i love your portrait of both horse and rider and you depth of field....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much, Peter.
A fine hat indeed, ideal for such a pastime
Frank L Croston.: Oh yes, Martin, a bit more than a pastime...smile
Another fine rodeo shot, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Tom, great to take photo's at them.
Classic cowboy look...
Frank L Croston.: Yes indeed, Larry.
