Horseshoe bend

On the Colorado river, just outside Page Arizona U.S.A. If you want some scale, there are two boats on the beach, just off centre at the bottom

An impressive billabong, Frank.

Philine had a nice one recently, too.

"Once a Jolly Swagman
Camped by a Billabong
Under the shade of
A Coolibah Tree
And He sang as He watched
And waited while his Billy Boiled
You'll come a Waltzing Mathilda with Me"

[Aussie National Anthem]
Frank L Croston.: That it is, Ray.

Seeing those boats for scale makes me even more dizzy, Frank
Frank L Croston.: I won't tell you where abouts we were on the edge then....
Man alive. That really does show scale, Frank, in that awesome place.
Frank L Croston.: It is difficult to show the scale of this place, Ginnie, I was glad of the boats.

This must be breath-taken in real life. It shows in the picture. What a grand view.
Frank L Croston.: Oh it is, Astrid, it's amazing that from a few hundred yards away you cannot see it, it is quite breath taking when you get your first view of it.
The b/w helps show the geology more than you would notice with the colour. Awesome!
Frank L Croston.: I did in colour at first, Mary, then tried b/w and preferred it. Thank you.
One of the marvels of nature, and what a fine shot.
Frank L Croston.: That it is, Brian, thank you, as you can probably see its a panorama, but I didn't think it would work this well, thank you.

If Elizabeth held you by the feet, you could have hung over the ledge and get the missing part of the river, in the composition as well smile Not to worry, there are those boats to pick you up, if you were to slip.

Impressive landscape.
Frank L Croston.: We weren't far off doing that as it was, Louis smile Thanks
fantastic shot, Frank. i love the panoramic view.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much, Ayush.
