This is a crisp and lovely shot, Frank. They have plenty of air under them.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Ray, that they did.

Beautiful things aren't they. We have breeding Cranes down on the Somerset Levels but they are not so easy to find..
Frank L Croston.: There were hundreds of them here, Chris, they are beautiful, graceful birds.
Birds of a feather eh Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Very good, Andrew...smile
A fabulous study in aerodynamics, Frank. I find myself studying ever bird because the detail is so good, even at this distance! smile
Frank L Croston.: They are lovely in flight, Ginnie, so graceful, thank you.
Beswick Ducks up the wall come to mind Frank
Frank L Croston.: I'd rather have these, Bill..
Cranes are so elegant! Very nice capture Frank!
Frank L Croston.: That they are, Richard. Thank you very much.
They're writing in the sky.
Frank L Croston.: They could be, Mary...

This is one of those pictures that has me wondering. In this case, whether the picture will improve if you were to loose the bottom half by cropping. My feeling is that the flight direction and the open space below them, clash. But, I am not sure.

The cranes show up well, with the cloudy sky.
Frank L Croston.: I'll give it a try, Louis, always ready for constructive comments, thanks.
A whole squadron of them, if that is the correct term.
Frank L Croston.: As good a name as any, Brian...smile

Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Peter, neither had I 'til this day, hundreds of them here.
an image to use to discuss natural teamwork.
Frank L Croston.: Yes indeed, it would be a good example, Alan, thanks.
