Seachange.

If I've calculated correctly, this is my 2000th posting. Little did I know as I set out in a howling gale all those years ago to take photo's of waves breaking on Blackpool promenade that it would lead me, via shutterchance, to another life, after these comments on another s/cers photo...Guess who...? http://elizabeth.shutterchance.com/image/2011/04/27/snow-in-the-grand-canyon/

I not only gained my lovely American wife, but many friends here, and around the world. So thanks to everyone who has ever taken a look, and the many of you who have commented on my photo's.

This is typical of the stuff in your fattening portfolio, Frank, and from which I get daily photography lessons.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ray, I presume the lessons are in the 'how not to' category. smile
I have always dreamt capturing such a fabulous scene Frank! Congratulations on your 2000th post.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Richard, that is very nice of you.

It's been a delight to see so many of your 2000 pictures, and to be able to comment, Frank
Frank L Croston.: Thank you so much, Elisabeth, how things have changed since we first met, hard to believe.
You are a credit to SC Frank, I have no idea how many I have posted. Bit rough was it that day?
Frank L Croston.: Too kind, Andrew, thank you, rough doesn't cover it ! It was a foul day, but if ever the saying, 'it's an ill wind,' was true,it was this day.

A pleasure Frank, you've been blessed
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Chris, you are right, and I know it. smile
Here's to the next 2000 then Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Probably need a couple of new cameras then...Hmm, what should I get ? smile Thanks, my mate, ok for Thursday?
Your photographs are top shelf, Frank, and the fact that you stuck around with this crazy bunch is testament that you have been on the top shelf and fallen off and bumped your head a few times too.

Hope I get to see 2000 more of your wonderful artfully prepared photos.

Is this shot from that original session or a new one?
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much, Mary, you are very kind. This shot is one I took on that fateful day...I reworked it, the weather actually looks a lot better than it was, there was a howling wind, with horizontal rain to go with it, plus it was freezing!

Well, well, well! Congratulations on no. 2000 and on your good fortune since you've been here. I've no idea how many I've posted as I only have the 30 day free account. This is a corker of an image; I love the position with the steps.

Thanks for the link to Elizabeth's image - the one that did it for you. I remember you mentioning this when we met up in Durango.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Alan, well it's just a statistic, but considering what has happened along the way I thought it worth a mention. smileGlad you like the link, I'm very careful what comments I post nowadays...smile
Terrific reworking Frank, and as you say a fateful day for you, I note Elizabeth gave you an invitation to stay after that first comment, little did either of you knowsmile Keep them coming I love your photos.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much, Brian, your comments have always been appreciated.
Well done on 2000. Little did any of us know what would happen when we joined shutterchance but you and Elizabeth and Astrid and Ginnie have really had a life change!

Keep up the good work (on the photos Frank, on the photos)
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Bill, you couldn't make it up could you...Of course on the photo's..smile
