You have caught brilliant movement here, Maestro!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Ray, much appreciated.
Terrific stop action Frank! Those beautiful paint ponies are my fave's!

You get the feeling these blokes were doing this sort of thing before they could walk..
Frank L Croston.: They make it look that way, Chris.
They have to be careful they don't lassoo each other Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Yes, I never saw it happen, though a young kid who was roping got me later...smile
Excellent action shot Frank! We can really feel the motion here.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Richard, I'm pleased you can...smile
wonderful presentation in b/w, Frank. i definitely like the frozen moment.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ayush, glad you like it.
Nice bit of tonemapped b&w Frank
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Bill..Double tone mapped, it works sometimes.
Another fine shot Frank. I'm very impressed with the beautifully decorated saddles these people have.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Brian, yes, things of beauty some of them, there were two saddles as prizes in this competition.

Great action, brilliant on detail. Looks somewhat like those old photo plates.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Louis, I double tone mapped it, sometimes, not always, it gives a nice effect.

What action you have captured, hardly a foot on the ground!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Anne, you know, I hadn't noticed that, five out of twelve I make it! Remarkable.
Looks as though the guy on the right has missed this time smile
Frank L Croston.: No, Tom, he has to get the heels after the first one gets the head, hence the name of it, 'heading & heeling'.
it can't get better than this Frank... superb action frozen forever in time....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: That is very nice of you, Peter...I'll keep trying though....smile
super photo frank, great timing again. I'm wondering if there is something slightly different you could do with the processing to help the horse and riders stand out more from the background (but don't ask me what that would be!!)
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Sarah, I can see what you mean, it is a problem at these events, this one was better than some others we had been to. I don't know of any way to process it to do that, but I'm far from an expert.
another fine action shot...
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Larry.
