The trip of a lifetime for them if they're going all the way
Frank L Croston.: Yes indeed Chris, one of the boatmen we spoke to had done 150 trips...Some life he has lead.
So many thinks to load aboard the boats...Great capture Frank! I bet they enjoyed the adventure.
Frank L Croston.: It's amazing what they take with them, Richard, one thing they won't do is starve. I hope they did, it would be a great thing to do.

Rafting the mighty Colorado! this looks quite an adventure. Will there be real exciting rapids?
Frank L Croston.: It certainly does, Louis, there are, but unfortunately not with me there.
I would LOVE to do that! Lots to keep hydrated in the equipment nearest foreground.
Frank L Croston.: We would too, Mary, pretty expensive trip though.

One of the most jaw-driopping TV programmes I saw was about trying to recreate the original trps along the river using the samne type of wooden boats used by the first explorers. There are some fiercesome rapids along the way. Not for me!
Frank L Croston.: I still have that documentary, wonderful, it was a thrill to be at this place, even if I was only a spectator.
I've seen TV programmes of people doing this, it gets a tad 'dangerous' along the way I believe.
Frank L Croston.: Some parts of the river are dangerous, Brian, but I would like to do it.
Wow this looks really interesting Frank, I never imagine the start of the canyon. What a trip that must be.
Frank L Croston.: It was, Andrew, an historic place, this used to be the only place to cross the river before they built Navajo bridge, a few miles away.
Looks like folks are not traveling light... smile
Frank L Croston.: I think they are well taken care of, Larry, they pay enough!.

Great shot - I might be able to cope with this if the water was flat calm - but the idea of rapids .....aaarrghhh!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Anne, I know what you mean, but I would like to try it...smile
it's a colourful scene with the river rats waiting to run the rapids Frank... good layers... the beach... the river... the mountains and a great sky....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: It was,Peter, thank you.
What's this, the retreat from Gallipoli? smile
Frank L Croston.: I think that would have been a lot less comfortable, Tom.
They seem to be well stocked with beer
Frank L Croston.: Well stocked with everything, Bill, I doubt they would want for anything. 'Cept being dry perhaps...smile

I like the colorful stuff/people against the natural canyon colors.
