Artwork...

Carrying on my theme from last week of memories of my six months in the U.S.A.

Today, artwork, we came across so much, not just in galleries, but wonderful things like this, found at the side of the road a long way from anywhere, I thought it was remarkable.

it is quite a remarkable painting Frank... it tell a story about how the native lands have been mistreated over the last few centuries....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: It is, Peter, I think you are correct in its meaning, thanks.
The murals we find on Navajo land always strike a chord... you've captured this beautifully, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: That they do, Elizabeth, thank you, whilst you were feeding the res' dog smile

High quality stuff isn't it Frank. I like the idea it is is out there as a sort of free open air gallery
Frank L Croston.: Yes indeed, Chris,we saw many pieces of work like this on the roadside stalls, all selling some kind of native American stuff.
It really is quite amazing, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Ginnie, I think so.

It says a lot. I always stand in awe, when so much talent is displayed ona temp roadside site.
Frank L Croston.: Me too, Louis,I saw a few things like this on our travels, quite remarkable.
Quite something Frank. A comment on the stock market perhaps?
Frank L Croston.: Isn't it Bill, could be, though I think Peter's explanation is good, how, 'civilisation', has arrived at the cost of wildlife and land...
But we have art work in Blackpool too.
Frank L Croston.: Yes we do, some of it very good as well, Michael.
This is so well done! Love the grassy bottom that fits in so well.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Mary, it did fit in well, glad you think so.
What an amazing, and very artistic find that no doubt tells a story as well.
Frank L Croston.: I thought so too, Brian, I think Peter's explanation was quite true.
Remarkable, and so wonderfully detailed Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Isn't it, Richard, I loved it!
