photoblog image Inferno...

Inferno...

I own up, this is two photo's of the same burn, mixed together.

They were taken just outside Flagstaff ,Arizona ,U.S.A.

Fabulous outcome, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ray, I'm pleased you think so....Not a lot different than either single photo, but fun to mess about...smile
Your creativity pays off once again! This is terrific!
Frank L Croston.: You have to say that...Or no cookies...smile Just kidding'...Thanks Ell'.

Oh very good; very clever. I especailly like the shafts of sunlight through the smoke.
Frank L Croston.: Couldn't believe my luck when I came across this, Alan, fire, smoke, sunlight....smile Thanks.

You don't have to own up for producing this excellent picture. Just claim that you have done it smile
Frank L Croston.: Well I like to own up to manipulation, Louis. Thanks very much.
Turner would have loved this Frank.
Frank L Croston.: High praise, Andrew, thank you.
Very good Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Cheers Bud.
This is tremendously pleasing. I would like to be able to do that. I have saved shots just for that reason.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Mary, I take /save shots for future use as mixes, though this was slightly different as it was two good shots,( I.M.H.O. ) that I thought I'd mess about with. smile
This makes a stunning mix Frank. Good stuff
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much, Janet.
I works for me Frank, indeed if you hadn't have said I doubt I would have guessed. Do forest fires get quite close to Flagstaff or was it a one-off?
Frank L Croston.: Pleased it does, Brian... This was what they call a prescribed burn, they do it to burn the undergrowth in the hope that a wildfire won't burn as bad if it occurs.
A spectacular result...
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Larry, pleased you think so.
Never apologise never explain. It is a cracking picture
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much, Bill, much appreciated. I always feel manipulation should be admitted.
