"Right.. we have this stunning, beautiful countryside and we're going to build a power station slap in the middle of it." "Oh, alright then!" I couldn't believe it when I first saw it but then that's the Navajos for you. I think the cola comes from a mine near Kayenta and there is an electric railway linking the two.
Frank L Croston.: You obviously know the place, Alan, I had similar thoughts, and to think it's only up the road from Antelope canyon.
I do like the subdued colours and that heavy sky. What are they burning at this station?
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Martin, I believe it's coal....

Lovely! The smoke, the clouds .... the view, I love it
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Anne, pleased you do.
Not bad Mate.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, young man.
Excellent shot Frank, no attempt to hide it away at all though. Is that a mountain of some sort in the centre background or the coal heap for the power station?
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Brian, none at all, I think it's a mountain or Mesa, I'm not sure.
A fine composition Frank, do you know if this is a coal powered station?
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Andrew, I believe it is, yes.
Great shot, Frank - the chimneys can't really compete with the landscape, can they?
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Tom, they are somewhat of a blot on it, it surprised me I must say.
