Roping...

Well, after all the slushy stuff yesterday, lets get back to photo's...A few in a row from a roping contest we went to a couple of weeks ago, just outside Flagstaff at the Z Spear arena, in memory of Travis Shiew. As you will see, the weather wasn't all it could be....

I hope you will like them.

Well. ..This first one is brilliant, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Well...I'm pleased you think so, Ray, thank you very much.
I love this in B&W - it makes the grittiness of their activity more visible. So amazing how you can see the rain sheeting down in this!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Elizabeth, b/w seemed to lend itself to the subject...Didn't that rain come down! Dam cold too when it hit you...smile
An excellent one to start your series Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much, Richard.

One of those shots that had to be in B.& W., and brilliant at that.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Brian, plus, the rain shows up better....smile

I'm expecting at next year's event that you will be the roping with your cowgirl a-whoopin' and a-hollorin' wink
Frank L Croston.: It may take me a little longer than that for me to reach this level, Alan, I only just managed to sit on a horse this time....smile
well composed... I like the mud...
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Larry, we weren't to impressed with it....smile
