I have never seen a cat go for a crow, Frank...but, if the cat was hungry and the crow unwell...
Frank L Croston.: Well, this Raven....Was bigger than Elizabeth's cats! smile

You must be very skilful to get as close as this Frank!
Frank L Croston.: He was just not bothered, Chris...I really expected him to fly off, I kept inching closer and closer, he never moved. smile
He looks mega big!!
Frank L Croston.: He was a big rascal, Chantal...smile
What an awesome shot. Reminds me of native dancers for some reason.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Mary, oh, well take a look at this one from my archive.http://blueskys.shutterchance.com/image/2011/11/24/war-dance-/
Yes it does look like the bird equivalent of a pow wow dancer. Love this shot Frank
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Janet, you think it looks like a dancer, try this one...smilehttp://blueskys.shutterchance.com/image/2011/11/24/war-dance-/
Nevermore!
Frank L Croston.: No more Lenore.....
He/she certainly looks a bit blown by the wind.
Frank L Croston.: It was blowing a gale, Brian, I should have upped my shutter speed, but was so surprised he didn't fly away I forgot!
With that beak, my guess is this is a raven.
Frank L Croston.: Correct, Tom, ubiquitous around here, this one was very bold....
I like the strong beak contrast to the fluffy feathers.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Jacquelyn, it was really blowing out there!
