Totally brilliant, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ray. One of the few times I knew what I wanted to do, as I took it!

Well I hope you got your kicks there Frank
Frank L Croston.: Oh, very good, Chris....smile
Then, presuming it is still open, route 66 must be fun to travel Frank. They really need some cats eyes here.
Frank L Croston.: Well route 66 has been replaced by I-40 mostly, Andrew, you just find a few places where the original road exists in some towns. Never seen cats eyes here...
Great idea, perfectly executed, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Tom. Much appreciated.
Cool selective colouring
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Chantal.
I like that you include the grassy crack to show it is not much used now.
Frank L Croston.: I thought that added to it, Mary, this was just a few hundred yards of road, leading nowhere...
Great to be here under one of your skies Frank
Frank L Croston.: Great sky that day, Janet, fortunately off in the distance.
Great image Frank, a brilliant idea to include the line of grass in the foreground, and once again a very strong sky. I trust once down you didn't need Elizabeth to haul you back up again smile
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Brian, cheek! She just sat in the car wondering what on earth I was doing with my camera, and watching for any cars!
excellent shot, Frank. a lightning bolt is perhaps on the way
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Ayush, one thing I would love to capture!

Perfect composition ..very creative!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Bonnie, a certain amount of guesswork, but it worked ok I think. smile
A pal of mine has driven most of Route 66 (a good few years ago) This is a cracking picture Frank
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Bill, not much of it left now, just a few places where they make the most of it!
An rough road to rainy weather... I remember the TV show...
Frank L Croston.: Oh yes, I'd forgotten the show, and the weather skirted round us...smile
there you go Frank proof that the us id letting it's infrastructure go to pot...
great shot od Route 66 and your selective colour of the center line....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Well this isn't in use any more, but I know what you mean, Peter. Thank you.

Oh fabulous smile A stroke of genius to go mono with just the yellow line left in colour. What a moody, menacing sky. Love it!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Alan, much appreciated, one of the few times I actually planned the picture, a certain amount of guesswork involved due to the camera being on the ground, and yes, the sky was great, still haven't managed to catch a lightning strike though.
