I love the processing you used on this - the border suits it as well! Very cool!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Elizabeth, I'm glad you like it. One from the storm at least!

I would like a jigsaw of this one, Frank - my highest praise
Frank L Croston.: So your highest praise is that you want to chop up my picture, Elisabeth, mmm...smile ( Just kidding', thanks very much). smile
American locomotives may not be pretty but they make for great pictures
Frank L Croston.: They are very 'butch', Bill...I like em'...smile
And a good job you did too.
Frank L Croston.: Cheers Bud.
What a cool photo
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much, Chantal.

A great HDR picture. Just look at all the detail of the hydraulics and mechanics.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Louis, glad you like it.
Your treatment brings everything out very well.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Mary, a new toy...
Smacked by the gob as well... smile
Frank L Croston.: Not too hard I hope, Larry...smile
A sort of surreal treatment you have given this Frank, I like it.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Andrew, I'm pleased you do.
wonderful exposure Frank, and perfect in all aspects imo
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much Ayush, much appreciated.
They have so much tackle hanging about all over them don't they. This is a great shot, and is that red glow from the firebox?
Frank L Croston.: They seem to, Brian, I quite like that about them. Yes, the glow is the firebox.
The 482 looks great here.
(I always wish the peops in a photo could get a copy of a great image like, this one.)
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Jacquelyn, well yes, they would be welcome.

I never used to like US locomotives. They always seem to have bit bolted on the outside as though they had forgotten to include them when building the locos. Seeing them in person and listening to the noise they mak has changed all that - oh, and the scenery smile You've brought out some great detail in this.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Alan, I've always liked their ramshackleness...
