Love the twig fringe, Frank.

Is that clumps of mistletoe hanging in the trees?
Frank L Croston.: Glad you like it, Ray, those are Herons nests.

Haaah.. don't say that, Frank; I've seen enough rain since Saturday. Snow on the Red Mountain Pass and torrential rain in Ouray. 85 deg Wednesday when I came south., now it's 35 deg! None of that has anything to do with this image, of course smile I like the framing very much and the strong silhouette of the trees. is that a touch of the blue in the sky or is that an illusion?
Frank L Croston.: Sorry, Alan, we had more after you left us, the museum was interesting, and inside, so we were ok. The blue came up slightly when I processed it, I don't remember there being any in the sky at the time! Safe travels...smile
Long soft brush strokes Frank... and wonderful silhouettes as well....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Peter.
This is really beautiful - looks familiar somehow.... hmmmm... smile
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, it should....smile

A very painterly sky Frank, I like the way the trees are framing it.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Andrew.
I love these skies that have rainbows all through.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Mary, glad you like it.
I thought this was toned mono when it opened up but that hint of blue sky tells me it isn't, but still a very enjoyable photograph. Sounds as though y'all had a bit of bad weather at the weekend. (Hope you noticed the Americanism, must be like bread and butter to you by now smile )
Frank L Croston.: A touch of tone mapping, Brian, sometimes gives you odd colour shades like this. Bad weather! You are not kidding...I found taking photo's in a thunderstorm does not work...smile
Have a nice day now ya hear...smile
Lord knows what you know who will make of this but I like it
Frank L Croston.: It seems it has his grudging approval, Bill. Glad you like it. smile
Not bad for an adopted yank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank y'all very much, you have a nice day now....

What a great b&w with a splash of color!
Frank L Croston.: Glad you like it, Robbyne.
This is really stunning. The more you look at it the more you like it. The sharp framing contrasted with the soft pastels of the sky! Wow!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much, Darren, that's very nice of you.
