Enjoying this series, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: That's the last for now, Ray, sorry...Though you might like tomorrows.
These guys are far more photogenic than many we see... they seem to be posing for you - and you made another excellent image! I'm glad that in this shot you get a different perspective of this massive beast!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Elizabeth, they must get used to being photographed, it was difficult to get a different view of it.
With a whiff of chip fat it is on its way
Frank L Croston.: It does seem odd, Bill.

Life as it used to be, except that this locomotive is very clean!
Frank L Croston.: Well it's not hauling freight over Shap, Chris, I'm sure it gets lots of T.L.C.
Looks to be a few shots to take with all that pipe work and big wheels.
Frank L Croston.: I took quite a few, but not enough steam!

I like this shot very much Frank. Great perspective but, a close up of the workers and the machine.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Andrew, I preferred the ones I took including the servants of the beast...smile

That is absolutely amazing!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Anne, it was exciting to be able to stand alongside it, so much bigger than when you are on a station platform as in England.

You wait until you see the Durango & Silverton locos.. Real workhorses on a 3ft gauge line and almost as big as this smile
Frank L Croston.: I'm looking forward to it, Alan, I've been looking at the video's on you tube, it looks spectacular!
Great shot for the last of the series, did you not manage to get on the footplate for a look around?
Frank L Croston.: With the looks that the guy standing was giving me,I didn't dare ask! Thanks, Brian. smile
