A Waterhen's World is a fabulous place...
Frank L Croston.: This one is just finding that out, Ray.
beautiful water shot
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Hollie, just got lucky with a gust of wind on the water, then it was gone...
Awe- could be the Flagstaff Milky Way!!! You'll be seeing it soon! I do love this shot, and all the diamonds in the "sky"! You caught the light so perfectly!
Frank L Croston.: Got lucky, Elizabeth, a gust of wind, then it was gone. Back to the packing....smile

The effect of the reflections on the water really do change the character of this bird shot Frank
Frank L Croston.: It was the only reason I took it, Chris, they had gone a moment later.....smile
Awwww. So true, Frank. It looks like your wish will soon be your demand! smile
Frank L Croston.: Hope so, Ginnie. smile

Strange how the sparkle changes the perspective of the shot.
Frank L Croston.: Yes, I probably wouldn't have taken just the bird, Mike, but the shiny bit attracted me! smile

What a little furry cutie, Frank - is this a young coot or moorhen?
Frank L Croston.: I think it's a Coot, Elisabeth, but I could be wrong, the baby Coots seem to have that red beak.
This is one that wasn't eaten by a swan! Nasty devils, swans!
Frank L Croston.: Oh, I didn't know they did that...I'll take no more pic's of them, Tom.
Very nice shot of the youngster and his magic lake.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Mary, his own little world....

The depth of field works well; it gives the impression of diamonds falling from the sky.
Frank L Croston.: Ooo, I like that, Alan, what medication are you on...smile
Fluffy and sparkly in the same picture is an achievement Frank
Frank L Croston.: It is quite a combination, Bill. smile
This would be a surefire winner in next January's competition at my club called 'Sparkling'
Frank L Croston.: Thank you! You have my permission to steal it, Brian. smile
This is beautiful Frank!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, aderonke, that's nice of you.

It could almost be a lake melting after winter ice Frank.
Frank L Croston.: I see what you mean, Chad, it was only like that for a fleeting moment,as the breeze ruffled it.
Oh dear.
Frank L Croston.: Thought you liked Ducks ? Or was it only roasted? smile
