It is a gorgeous shot.

Might be even more so if there was a bit of a hint of the colour to which you refer, Frank... smile
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ray, well I seem to have made a rod for my own back with this in b/w, so I'll post it in colour later this week,ok? smile
Well it's not bad, could be better taken on a 10-20 Sigma zoom and a grad filter.
Frank L Croston.: How would a grad have made this better? You selling them as well? smile
That shadow is awesome- I love the way you've captured it, and the wispy clouds above!!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you,Elizabeth, caused controversy with this ,I'll put the colour version up later.

More staggering stuff. I like the way the cloud shadows the shadow - if you see what I mean
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Chris, I do see what you mean.
Fabulous in B&W, Frank. (Some of us can picture the vermillion. smile )
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Ginnie,I'm glad you think so. smile

Less of this distracting colour ;o) Wonderful monochrome Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Mike, I do find that the colour in this landscape can detract, at times,it being so bold,it seems not everyone agrees. smile
How are we to believe these are vermillion cliffs? Nice shot all around.
Frank L Croston.: I'll prove it later, Mary, thanks. smile
amazing shadow work there
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Chantal, pleased you think so.

Excellent and all the way to the likey bin.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you,Louis, much appreciated.
Excellent shot Frank, but just to carp a little I find the shadows good but just a bit too heavy, perhaps you could have lightened them up just a bit.
Frank L Croston.: You could be right,Brian, I was so impressed with the shadow,I may have overdone it.
Ansel Adams would have approved, Frank
Frank L Croston.: If I thought that I would I would pack up and go, Juan Carlos,I couldn't achieve more. Thanks ever so much. smile
It is fine as it is... b/w very effective...
Frank L Croston.: Thanks,Larry, it's the version I prefer, but for peace and quiet I'll post the colour version on Wed'. smile
I have a Sigma 10-20 and you would have had to crop the image to get this grin

This needs nothing else
Frank L Croston.: He was just kiddin' ,Bill, he's trying to sell it to fund more Fuji's. smile Thanks.
