Terrific shot that really shows the vastness of the place.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Mary,I'm glad you think so,I was trying to do that.
Shaw could hold an exhibition of his pictures down there. It would be near enough to them at the top
Frank L Croston.: Oooo, cutting,Bill, very cutting,I'll have to console him on Friday now,his sensibilities are easily hurt.

Was this formed when it was underwater Frank? You know how small stones carve out a shape like this with the force of the water.
Frank L Croston.: Here is the explanation, young man.http://www.nps.gov/arch/naturescience/geologicformations.htm
What an amazing work of nature, the scale of it is enormous compared with the people on the rim.
Frank L Croston.: You feel very small in this place,Brian,it makes you realise how insignificant we are aligned against nature.

I have a sneaky feeling I know where you are but I won't spoil it for others. I was one of hundreds stood/sat on that ridge in mid-October.
Frank L Croston.: I'm sure you do,Alan, thanks,a shame we couldn't meet up,as that was the time we were there. But I know we both had different routes.
