A uniquely gorgeous place, Frank...and it is in good hands with you behind the lens.
Frank L Croston.: Indeed it was,Ray,we were driving past, and just had to stop,an "Oh! Look at that!" moment. Thanks for the compliment, much appreciated.
You do this spectacle justice, Frank!!! Showing the colors as they truly were in this beautiful composition!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Elizabeth,it would have been hard not to do it justice.
Truly wonderful colours and the reflection is the icing on the cake.
Frank L Croston.: Just what I thought,Martin. smile

Reminds me of mountain cliff faces for a geomorphology study I did in my early 20's. when I still had a brain. I had to write an essay and give a ten minute talk on the scree profiles etc etc etc ... thoroughly mind boggling stuff.
Frank L Croston.: I should imagine it was,Richard,in my ignorance I have never heard of geomorphology....But I have altered a few scree profiles. smile

The starkness between the dead trees and the richness of the colours of the earth is very marked. It is an incredible country.
Frank L Croston.: It certainly is, Alan, like yourself,I'll be back for more. smile

A gorgeous landscape with wonderful colours (iron?) -I love the reflections in the lake - only the electricity strings are a bit disturbing, but necessary.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Philine, lots of minerals I suspect. It is a shame about the lines, but as you say,a necessary evil.
Got that Christmassy feeling in the image Frank! love it
Frank L Croston.: I suppose it has a bit, thanks. smile
This is magnificent countryside Frank, no wonder you were able to tear your eyes away from the driver for a while when you went past this.
Frank L Croston.: Spoilt for choice, whichever way I looked,Brian. smile
