The Wasdale screes.

Or to give them their proper titles Illgill Head and Whin Rigg, the Screes being the face falling into Wastwater, Englands deepest lake.

Joli panorama !
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Martine.
This is a fantastic shot, Frank! Your pano really shows the face of the Fells!

That's the first time I've seen the whole face id the screes. I've never walked along the top; I've never wanted to!
Frank L Croston.: Not many places you can see the whole length, this was taken from Yewbarrow summit. Its an easy walk along the screes, great views down amongst them.

Certainly a different aspect from the more usual pictures of the Lake District, Frank
Frank L Croston.: A bit more rugged in this valley Elisabeth, a wonderful place, all the better for there being no road through it, one way in and out.
Très belle photo et merci pour les explications ...
Frank L Croston.: My pleasure Claudine, thank you.

Great shot Frank. We sometimes forget that this is one thing England has to offer.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Andrew, it has Scotland as well...Errr.
A vast old mountain that holds England to the plate.
Frank L Croston.: Correct Care, there is a big brass bolt on the top that only King Arthur has the spanner for... I might have mixed up my mythologies there....
A fine view Frank, I wonder how deep the lake is.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Brian, 258ft.
great panorama Frank... i'm glad that you got the lake into the photos....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Peter, couldn't get much in smile
That's quite a ridge!
Frank L Croston.: That it is Tom, its misleading, its quite flat and an easy walk for its whole length.
