Tlaquepaque shadows

I'm going to indulge myself this week, a whole week of shadows...If you dont like 'em, please say so...

By the way, Tlaquepaque is an art and shopping village in Sedona.

I do like this. It is beautifully composed.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Beth, pleased you think so.
A beautiful shot, Frank! I love how you hunt shadows - this will be a great series!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Elizabeth, thanks for putting up with the hunting...I hope it will.
Joli jeu d'ombres.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Martine.
This is actually like an optical illusion, Frank. Still trying to figure it out. But, yes, Tlaquepaque is one of those places you never forget.
Frank L Croston.: A touch of Escher perhaps Ginnie....? I always enjoy a visit there.

I like shadows, Frank. If there are shadows there is sun....
Tlaquepaque is also a city in Mexico...
Frank L Croston.: A good point Astrid. I didn't know that, thanks.
Bonne idée , j'aime les jeux d'ombres
Bonne journée
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Claudine, you too.
I have always been a fan of the Shadows...where's Hank?
Frank L Croston.: I should have expected this, I'm trying to raise the bar here Bill ! smile

I do like the shadows Frank, they seem to assist in bringing an image to life and also with the three dimensional qualities. It could also be the connotation of sunshine, which we all love.
Frank L Croston.: Quite right Andrew, shadows mean all these things, thank you.
I like it Frank......light and shadow, always appeals to me smile
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Martin , me too.
For me shadows in bright sunlight are dark, this image needs to be darker IMHO.
Frank L Croston.: I have darker versions, this was actually more about the light than the shadows. You might like Thursdays then.

Look closely at the outside leaves in the shadow. It is as if they have a lighter colour border around them. It doesn't look as if you muddled around with the picture, so would that be some kind of lens feature?

If you don't like them, please say so... I am now thinking of Aksel, a Swedish shutterchancer from times gone by. He gave me a hard time when I didn't pay proper attention to shadows and reflections in my pictures. Thanks to him I think I do a lot better now. So go on shadowing.
Frank L Croston.: I have a few versions of this photo Louis, I can only think its because I overexposed it, or its the texture of the wall ( which doesn't show up much in this pic' ) It doesn't show in the darker versions. In this shot I wanted to show the light rather than the shadows, I probably shouldn't have used it in this series in retrospect. Thanks for taking such a close look though, it is appreciated.
I don't mind them at all Frank, this is a fine starter.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Brian.
I won't mind a week of Shadows. I suppose being where you are we can expect a bit of Apache.
Frank L Croston.: Hope I don't disappoint you...Ha,ha, when i posted this that did cross my mind smile
A trifle bewildering on first glance! Lovely.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you tom, didn't intend to bewilder ! smile
