You caught the light playing wonderful games, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Right place right time, Ray, thanks.
a sweet vignette of a picture...

A pretty timeless scene Frank

Timeless, indeed, Frank, and with a very cozy feel to it.

This hasn't changed much over the years, Frank - imagine how many fires that chimney has smoked
Frank L Croston.: Probably not, Elisabeth, a good few for sure.
You half expect someone to come staggering up the hill with a loaf of Hovis clutched to their breast
Frank L Croston.: Ha, ha...That would make me Ridley Scott who I believe directed that. I wish smile

There is life in this lonely house - and the sun is out, too, I love the mossy, bright patches in the foreground - a calming image we are needing now ...
Frank L Croston.: If only that was all we needed Philine, thank you though.

You show well how strategically placed elements of light and dark can really make a photograph.

Excellent in a number of ways. I would have hidden the car and dustbin, just to make it more timeless.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Louis, it would have improved it, yes.
The epitome of an English village, they don't come much better than this.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much Brian.
Some nice lights found there way to your lens and good capture of the smoke.
Frank L Croston.: Lucky with the light, Mary, thanks.

I can just imagine the chill in their air. Whatever needs to be done outside can wait another day as the place to be is sat around perhaps the Aga?
Frank L Croston.: That about sums it up, Alan.
Lovely image, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Tom, a lovely place.
