Sure gives the scale with those folks on the edge.
Frank L Croston.: Most of these places need something or someone to give some scale. This is just the path from the car park Bonnie, you reach the top then head down a steep slope to the edge overlooking Horseshoe bend, quite spectacular.
Here's where they were headed, Bonnie:

It is a serene sky, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Sun just setting as we drove by, Ray.
I love this, Frank! What a great shot!
Frank L Croston.: A lucky one from the car if I remember, Ell', thanks.

One of those sunset honeypot destinations, I should think. What a fabulous location, though. I must go back there one day with my 11mm lens; my 16mm just did not get the full sweep of the bend.
Frank L Croston.: Yes, stay away unless you like crowds ( with iPads and smartphones ) It is a great place.

You had better hurry up and catch them Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Too many of them, Andrew, better when its quieter.
That is certainly well-named!
Frank L Croston.: Indeed, Tom.
Grab shots don't come much better than that. As for that bend, it's nature at its best.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Brian, lots of deletes for one good one, thank goodness for digital! Horseshoe bend is wonderful, I hope to see it from the river one day.
I am fed up with all these wonderful pictures of the grand canyon that you and your Misses keep posting grin

I'm not really
Frank L Croston.: Sorry, Bill...We'll try not to keep it up...:-(
Tiny figures against a lovely sky...
Frank L Croston.: Indeed, thanks, Larry.
Great shot of a very famous landmark.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Mary.
