Despite the flesh wounds, Frank, I am a bit surprised someone has not decided there is salvage potential here...perhaps that someone is just waiting for the bodies to transition from "veteran" to "vintage"?
Frank L Croston.: I did wonder, Ray, there was a barbed wire fence with a no trespassing sign hanging on it, which had obviously been ignored, not by us I hasten to add!

Excellent B&W image, bullet holes and all!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Robbyne,
I really like that you processed this in black and white - It wouldn't have occurred to me! Very cool! Very mysterious isn't it... I love the tumbleweeds inside the cars!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Elizabeth, I did a few versions of them...It was very odd....
i new that they were bullet holes before i scrolled down Frank...
that is what hunters do when there is nothing alive to shoot at... great b&w....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Hunters scare me, thanks, Peter.

Amazing capture ...I'm very envious.

The Bonny and Clyde final shoot out comes to mind.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Richard, a lucky find, we had stopped to photograph an old water pump, and saw these in the distance.

I have seen some odd graveyards in my time, Frank, but......... Really good!
Frank L Croston.: This was a good one, Elisabeth. Thanks.
This sure gets the imagination going.Great scene.
Frank L Croston.: Got mine going, Martin, in the middle of nowhere, with a no trespassing sign up on the barbed wire fence, very odd...Thanks.
I'd have thought the bodies were worth something as scrap??
Frank L Croston.: That thought struck me too Tom, I have no idea why they were where they were.

I. too, thought of Bonny and Clyde (luckily not something that Elizabeth and Frank would ever do wink ). It will be years in the dry heat of the desert befoe these rust away. Youe ver seen the hundreds of moth-balled aircraft that are in a desert somewhere in the sout west?
Frank L Croston.: Amazing how metal lasts in the desert, Alan. I have asked Elizabeth about that place, not quite sure where about's it is, If possible I would love to visit it.
Perhaps this was the site of a shootout. Very good image.
Frank L Croston.: Well, there had certainly been some shooting ! Thanks, Mary.

It seems like it was used in an old film Frank, good find.
Frank L Croston.: Could have been, Andrew, thanks.
Probably from the prohibition period Frank... Fabulous image! You did a great job.
Frank L Croston.: Who knows, Richard ? They were in the middle of nowhere....Thank you.
Most strange, it seems to be the body shells only and not any other parts of the cars. What is the interesting building on the horizon?
Frank L Croston.: I presume everything of any use had been stripped, Brian. I don't know about the building, I was intrigued myself.
Ok I am being picky , I don't like the sky.. Should be Ok for a coffee next Tuesday.Going to look at rest homes Tomz for my mum..Stroll on May.
