Whoa! Exemplary! And this photo should be in the dictionary as a visual for that word!
Frank L Croston.: It is awesome, Elizabeth....
Good word for it Frank
Frank L Croston.: I was going to say Oooooge, but thought better of it, Bill.

Yes it would be Frank. I remember those salt flats in Utah where they used to race cars at incredible speeds..
Frank L Croston.: You are thinking of Bonneville, Chris. I wanted to visit there but it was too far from us.Strangely, Elizabeth knew nothing about it....

The sky looks very threatening; some terrible cataclysmic is about to happen!
Frank L Croston.: It did, Alan! Only moments later Elizabeths M& M's ran out!

Vast indeed. And an excellent show of it.

I once took a photo like this in our Karoo region and then found the furthest visible hill on a map. The result is that I realised that day, I could see 50kms.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Louis, I'll have to ask my trusty guide what the distances were.
Both the sky and the land give a sense of vastness Frank.
Frank L Croston.: There is no escaping the VASTNESS, Andrew. smile
The sky wins it here. I want to run or duck and take cover.
Frank L Croston.: It often does! Luckily we missed whatever it was bringing. smile
A low sky, rather than a big one! But vast indeed!
Frank L Croston.: Oh yes...Thanks, Tom.
I guess, like the rest of us over here, until you went somewhere like this you didn't imagine such vastness could exist, that rocky edge is amazing.
Frank L Croston.: Oh I don't know, Brian, Blackpool beach has its moments....

WOWSER.... incredible and what a view. I am so surprised that Elizabeth does not know about the salt flats for the race cars, I often watched these attempts...very fascinating..
Fabulous picture!!!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Astrid...Cars, trains, trucks...They all mean nothing to her....smile
