Gifford farm

In Fruita, within Capitol reef national park. Utah. An early Mormon settlement, famous for fruit pies from its orchards.

Which are veeerrrrry good I can assure you.

I've been here--isn't it amazing to see an orchard among the red rocks. I didn't get the fruit pies though...
Frank L Croston.: It is, Larry, not what you'd expect, you missed a treat with the pies smile
A beautiful composition, here, Frank!!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Elizabeth, I hoped the horse at the back would move, and he did! smile

Looks unusual with the rock formation, and suddenly pasture
Frank L Croston.: It was like an oasis, Elisabeth.
I don't suppose the horses have any clue how lucky they are, Frank??!!
Frank L Croston.: They did seem very happy though, Ginnie.

Peace in the pastures and pies from the trees - not the usual more dramatic stuff. Although, the formations in the background are spectacular. Great composition.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much, Louis.
Joli décor pour ces beaux chevaux.

A wonderful composition - and I believe you that Mormons make the best fruit pies.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much, Philine, indeed they do. ( Apart from my Mum ) smile
