This is majestic. It is so difficult to capture the awe of this kind of site and you nailed it, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: I thank you very much Beth, nice of you to say. I agree about how difficult it is to capture this place, which is why I usually prefer paintings of it. That makes your comment all the better to me.
Beautiful shot, Frank - I love how your photo shows off those clouds! The Vermillion Cliffs shine brightly in the sun waaaaay out there! Hey! Let's go to the Cliffs for Christmas!!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Elizabeth. The Vermillion cliffs, Christmas....Oh, if we must....smile
This has a fabulous 3D effect to it, Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Ginnie, glad you like it.

I suspect the horizon is a very long way away Frank. Both the rock stratas and sky are very appealing
Frank L Croston.: Approx 50 miles away Chris....Thanks.

This is beautiful and what a view. I can imagine how difficult it is to get everything "right" in the picture like you see it with your own eyes. (Good luck with "dragging" yourself to the Vermilion Cliffs for Christmas wink )
Frank L Croston.: Thank you Astrid, you have to do these things. smile

How DID you get so much in, Frank?
Frank L Croston.: I just thought it made a nice frame, thanks Elisabeth.

As much as the Canyon is jaw-dropping, the clouds here are of great interest with their flat bottoms. I don't think I've seen that before.

I'm pleased that Elizabeth talks about "Christmas" rather than "Holidays" that many American call Christmas.
Frank L Croston.: I haven't noticed it before either, Alan. I think she does that because I'm here...smile

Another excellent show of the canyon. The stacked clouds add to viewing pleasure.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks very much Louis.
Impressionnante prise de vue ..
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much Claudine.
Beats Fleetwood Frank.
Frank L Croston.: No bacon butties though, bud..
This is a cracking picture Frank. Great foreground leading to a wonderful sky
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much Bill.
Using that foreground as a frame really gives this image some depth.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks Brian, I hoped that would be the result.

In all its magnificence! This is lovely Frank
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much Anne.
You have certainly created excellent depth here and wonderful colour. It appears 3D in spots. This is one of your best, I'd say, top five anyway.
Frank L Croston.: Thats very nice of you Mary, maybe I should look back at them...smile
