I can never work out what drives people to do this. One false move and..
Frank L Croston.: Well, you could say that about walking across the M6...Oh, hang on, matrons telling me I shouldn't do that either.....

Ha, the dare devil.... I think this is very challenging and what a victory when you are on top of the mountain.....
Frank L Croston.: Wouldn't it be great, Astrid, I have lots of admiration for them. Think of the photo's also...smile
I often wonder how people have the courage, and sense, to do this sort of thing.
Frank L Croston.: I've never climbed, but I have great admiration for people who do.

Now if the rock face had been turned 90 deg, I could probably walk up the resulting steps with my hands in my pockets... I've enjoyed abseiling (especially s I was paid to do as part of my management training when at at BT) but I never fancied rock climbing. He looks a bot of wooz using ropes...
Frank L Croston.: I did shout to him about the ropes as I passed him, he seemed somewhat fazed... though I think he'd hurt his hand and couldn't give me a thumbs up, only two fingers, which I presumed was a victory salute......

I admire his courage and skills. Alan used the German word "abseilen" in "abseil-ing".
Frank L Croston.: Me too, I didn't know that was a German word.
Ooof! Makes me dizzy!
Frank L Croston.: Don't look then, Tom ! smile
