It is an inspiring road, with pull-offs thoughtfully provided for photographers...
Frank L Croston.: It is, Larry, and so great that they thought to provide the pull offs...

Caught in peak hour traffic ...again!
Frank L Croston.: You just have to tough it out, Ray....
I always love this view - and the way you see it and present it...
Frank L Croston.: Me too, its so great when we come to a view you have seen so many times in magazines and films, and realise you are actually there, you know who's to blame don't you ! X smile

I bet you didn't ever expect to go there, Frank!
Frank L Croston.: I think you could safely say that, Elisabeth, its still a thrill to see iconic images for real.
i have seen several variations of this scene and i never stop being amazed, Frank. i suppose you could nod off at the wheel and still be on track (not that i am recommending you too!)
Frank L Croston.: I haven't done that yet, too much to see, Ayush!

So straight, but then, why not.
Frank L Croston.: No reason to deviate, Andrew, like the Romans...smile

Cette route semble interminable.
Frank L Croston.: It does indeed, Martine, but you don't want it to end....smile
Must be frustrating for Audi drivers with nothing to overtake for miles
Frank L Croston.: B.M.W. drivers surely....

Vanishing point per excellence.
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Louis.
These roads must seem to go on for ever.
Frank L Croston.: Driving in the states, ( mostly) is still a pleasure, Brian.
Seems just a hop, a skip and a jump to get there.
Frank L Croston.: For an Olympic athlete maybe...smile
I can't imagine anyone presenting this scene better, Frank, and I mean that sincerely!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you, Ginnie, one big hug owed smile You flatter me.

I hink I mentioned previously that it was views similar to this that made me want to go to Monument Valley. An incredible landscape.
Frank L Croston.: You did, Alan. I always enjoyed seeing photos like this, I never dreamt I would get to take some myself.
Great photo!
Frank L Croston.: Thank you very much.
Great, classic shot, Frank. (If this was in the UK, there'd be the usual clutter of signs all along the way!)
Frank L Croston.: Great to be able to take it, Graeme, thanks. Oh yes, you are right, its a pet hate of mine!
