Water Colour...

..In many ways!  We were travelling in a torrential downpour on the Durango and Silverton Railroad.  The river was in flood, waterfalls were forming, and the windows were running with water... hence the quality of the pic'.  But I thought this conveyed the moment.  Alan will tell you, he was on a different train.

This is great, Frank! I can't believe you caught this little waterfall! What a day that was!
Frank L Croston.: I'm amazed myself! Not one I want to repeat.

Yes...get the gist of it, Frank...uncharacteristically heavy downpours, leading to photo-opportunities galore.
Frank L Croston.: Not many, Ray, too cold and wet to open the window!

I can hear the rain drumming on the roof, Frank
Frank L Croston.: You would hear my teeth chattering as well, Elisabeth.
It has given it a painterly quality Frank.
Frank L Croston.: Yes, a water colour! smile

You have succeeded in capturing the essence of the moment on the outside. Many comments attest to this fact. The steaming mug of coffee on the inside, is what is missing. smile
Frank L Croston.: That would have been nice, it was freezing.
Great shot and good use of the 'Wet Window' filter.
Frank L Croston.: I was amazed that I got anything.
I like the rain on the window for its contribution here.
Frank L Croston.: It was bucketing it down! Very cold also.
While the image feels lush, it gives you the impression about how quickly flooding can happen!
spectacular...
