Schnebly Hill Rd. Sedona, Arizona

Possibly the worst road in the world....Leading down into Sedona.  Some foolish guy passing in a Hummer told Elizabeth she wouldn't get down there in that, her Nissan Rogue...Thanks pal!

In case you were wondering, I took this from Doctor Mahanti's (Elizabeth's boss) plane, we were flying back to Flagstaff from Phoenix.

Great aerial shot, Frank.

It looks a bit like a highway compared to a few Australian and Cambodian roads I have travelled.
Frank L Croston.: Thank you,Ray. Oh I don't know, this was very bad...

Jolie vue aérienne.
Frank L Croston.: Much more comfortable than driving it....Thanks, Martine.
I love the aerial view... how nice of Elizabeth's boss...
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Larry, he is very generous.
that is one mean looking road... i think that i would rent a Hummer for the trip Frank... and i drive a Jeepgrin....petersmile
Frank L Croston.: Mean doesn't describe it, Peter, a Hummer would be ok, its them and the Jeeps that have made it so bad I think.
PUNISHING!
Poor Roxie... those ruts were DEEP! She earned her "Desert Pinstriping" that day! smile
Nice aerial! We'll have to have him take us up again...
Frank L Croston.: You mean I caused the 'desert pin striping'...:-( Sorry...
It would be fun, yes.

Ah yes; I remember you saying that you occasionally took to the air with Dr. Mahanti; lucky you! I've heard of Schnebly Hill Road and have briefly considered it but I think Hertz would not be too impressed if I tried it in my usual saloon car.
Frank L Croston.: You would not make it, Alan, it is no pleasure at all, ruined by 'Pink jeeps' orange Hummers, and hired A.T.V.'s....:-(
Lucky you having a private flight Frank.
Frank L Croston.: I know, I have to pinch myself at times, Andrew....smile
Nice way to spend the day.Did you get the car sorted out.
Frank L Croston.: All good fun in the end...It seems ( touch wood) to be behaving now, made it to Lancaster and back ok.
Some very tight switchbacks and the part on the most right side - woof.
Frank L Croston.: Its ok seeing as you are lucky if you get up to 5mph..smile
Seeing as how I hate flying I guess I'd have to take the road, or not, Maureen does all our driving as you know and I couldn't get her to drive the Honister Pass the other year so she wouldn't tackle this just as I doubt she'll tackle the Kirkstone Pass in July!
Frank L Croston.: Oh dear, well fortunately there are other ways around. smile
Heck of a view Frank. Elizabeth has a good boss!
Frank L Croston.: Thanks, Bill. She does indeed.
